1. What are Automated Campaigns?
Automated campaigns allow you to "set it and forget it." The Snappy system checks your recipient list daily and automatically triggers a gift when a specific date (Hire Date, Birth Date, etc.) is reached.
Available Automation Types

2. How to Set Up an Automation
Follow these unified steps to launch any automated campaign:
Start: Click the blue "Send Gifts" button and select "Set Up An Automation" > Choose your type (New Hire, Anniversary, or Birthday).
Configure:
Milestones: Define when the gift sends (e.g., "Year 5" or "Day 0").
Budget: Assign a specific budget for each milestone.
Delivery: Choose Email, SMS, Slack, or Teams.
Design: Use the Gift Studio to customize the email subject line, greeting card, and reveal animation to match the occasion.
Add Recipients:
Dynamic (Recommended): Syncs with your main Recipient Roster. As you add new employees to your account, they are automatically enrolled in the automation.
Static: Upload a CSV file manually. (See Data Requirements below).
Launch: Review your settings and click "Launch Campaign". The system will now run daily year-round.
3. Data Requirements
For automations to work, your recipient data must be accurate.
New Hire / Anniversary: Must have a Hire Date column.
Birthday: Must have a Birth Date column.
Format: MM/DD or MM/DD/YYYY.
Note: The birth year is optional. If unknown, you can leave it out, and the system will still trigger on the correct day.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Will this send gifts retroactively?
No. Automations only look forward from the "Go-Live Date." If you missed a date (e.g., someone's birthday was yesterday), learn how to send retroactive gifts here.
What if I add a recipient after their milestone date?
The system will not send a gift for a date that passed. They will be picked up for the next milestone (e.g., next year's birthday).
When are gifts sent?
Anniversaries: ~14:15 UTC
Birthdays: ~14:30 UTC
New Hires: ~14:45 UTC
How do I see upcoming sends?
Go to Billing Tab > Projections to view a calendar of who is scheduled to receive a gift next and the estimated cost - read more about Projections here.
