To ensure high-quality prints, follow these recommendations before uploading.

File Requirements

  • Format: PNG with a transparent background is strongly recommended. (JPEGs are accepted for photos but not ideal for logos).

  • Resolution: Minimum 150 DPI (300 DPI is best). Low-resolution files will look blurry.

  • Size: Use a large file (at least 4000 pixels wide) for crisp details.

  • Color Profile: Printers use CMYK. Exact PMS color matching is not available.

Embroidery Specifics

Embroidery (used on hats, bags, polos, jackets) uses thread rather than ink, which imposes specific limits:

  • Simplicity is Key: Avoid gradients, distressed textures, or negative space objects.

  • Text Size: Text must be at least 0.25'' high and 0.05'' thick to be legible.

  • Color Limit: Maximum of 6 thread colors.

  • Tip: If your detailed logo doesn't look good stitched, upload a simplified version specifically for embroidered items.

Understanding Decoration Methods

Different items use different printing techniques. Knowing these helps set expectations for the final look.

Description & Limitations

Direct-to-Garment (DTG)

Apparel (T-shirts, hoodies)

Inkjet prints directly on fabric. Soft touch.

Note: Colors may look muted on dark garments; cannot match PMS colors exactly.

UV Printing

Hard Goods (Drinkware, plastic, metal)

Cured ink creates a slightly raised, textured design.

Note: Very vibrant colors; high durability.

Sublimation

Blankets, Some Bags

Ink turns to gas and bonds with material. Great for all-over prints.

Note: Creases in fabric during printing may appear as white lines.

Embroidery

Hats, Jackets, Polos

Thread stitched into fabric. Classic, high-value look.

Note: Cannot do gradients or fine details.
