C1 Visa and C6 Visa are both valid for volunteering activities in Indonesia. Both visas can legally be used by volunteers, and both allow the same length of stay (60 days upon arrival, extendable twice up to a total of 180 days).

The main differences between them are as follows:

C1 Visa
This visa is more general and is often used for personal purposes such as social visits, cultural activities, humanitarian work, family visits, tourism, and volunteering. It is suitable for applicants of all ages, including minors under 21 years old.

C6 Visa
This visa is more specific and is categorized strictly for volunteering. It is usually selected for volunteers who are involved in a formal volunteering program or who act in a more official capacity, for example representing or supporting an organization. Applicants must be at least 21 years old and have their own source of income.

Fees (2025 update)

C1 Visa: IDR 2.500.000
C6 Visa: IDR 3.500.000

Processing Time
Approximately 14 working days.
