Why This Matters
Financing partners can use different design tools and workflows when proposals are created in SubcontractorHub. Configuring these options helps ensure that users see the appropriate design workflow for the financing partner selected on the proposal.
For supported financing partners, administrators can select one or more design tools and assign a workflow to each one. The “Design Tool” field uses a single-select dropdown, while additional design tools can be added or removed as needed.
The selected configuration determines which design tool and workflow options are available when setting preferences and creating proposals.
Follow the steps below to configure design tools for a financing partner.
What You'll Need
Admin access to SubcontractorHub
A connected financing partner that supports design tool configuration
The design tools you want to associate with the financing partner
The applicable workflow for each design tool
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1
From the main menu, open “Manage Integrations” and click “Integrations.”
Step 2
Step 3
Locate the connected financing partner you want to configure and click “Configure Design Tool.”
Step 4
Under “Design Tool,” select the applicable design tool from the dropdown.
Note: The “Design Tool” field is a single-select dropdown. Select one design tool for each configuration row.
Step 5
Under “Workflow,” select the applicable workflow for the design tool. Depending on the available configuration, you can select “Self Design,” “Requested Design” or both.
Step 6
Add additional design tools as needed and select the applicable workflow for each one.
Note: Multiple design tools can be configured for the same financing partner. Each design tool can have its own workflow selection.
Step 7
Click “Save.”
Note: The saved design tool and workflow configuration determines which options are available when setting system preferences and creating proposals with the financing partner.
Real-World Example
💡 An organization uses two design tools with the same financing partner. An administrator selects the first design tool and assigns “Self Design,” then adds a second design tool and assigns “Requested Design.”
When users create proposals with that financing partner, the available design workflow options follow the configuration saved for each design tool.
Pro Tips
Connect the financing partner first: The financing partner must be connected before its design tools can be configured.
Configure each design tool separately: Select one design tool from the dropdown and assign the appropriate workflow to that configuration.
Review workflow selections: Confirm whether “Self Design,” “Requested Design,” or both should be available for each design tool.
Remove unused configurations: Delete design tools that should no longer be associated with the financing partner.
Save after making changes: Click “Save” after adding, removing or changing any design tool or workflow selection.
