Why This Matters

Before a contract gets signed, you need to make sure all the required documents and information are in place — utility bills, ID photos, site surveys, you name it. If something's missing, it delays the whole project.

Perfect Packet is a built-in checklist feature that ensures every required document is submitted and verified before a contract can be generated. Think of it as a " pre-flight checklist" for your contracts — nothing moves forward until everything's accounted for.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Part A: Create a New Perfect Packet Item

Step 1: Open the Database

From the main menu, go to Manage Database → click Database.

Step 2: Navigate to Perfect Packet

Click the Additional dropdown and select Perfect Packet.

Step 3: Add a New Packet Item

You'll see a list of all existing Perfect Packets. Click the + Add button to create a new one.

Step 4: Fill In the Details

Complete the form with these fields:

Field	What to Enter
Label	A friendly name (e.g., "Utility Bill" or "Site Photos")
Key	A unique identifier (usually auto-fills from the label)
Job Type	Select the relevant job type (e.g., Solar, Roofing)
Is Required	Choose Yes if this must be submitted; No if optional
Type	The data type — most commonly File
Is Multiple File	Check this if the item allows multiple file uploads

Click Save when you're done.

Step 5: Edit or Delete Existing Packets

To manage your existing packets: - Click the pencil icon ✏️ to edit any packet's details - Click the trash can icon 🗑️ to delete a packet you no longer need

Use the table view to filter, search, and review all packets by status, job type, and file type.

Part B: Control Packet Visibility for Connected Sales Organizations (EPC Only)

This section applies only if you're an EPC organization connected to one or more sales orgs.

If you work with multiple sales organizations, you can control which Perfect Packets each sales org sees. This lets you tailor documentation requirements for different partnerships.

Step 6: Open the Perfect Packet for Editing

From your EPC account, go to the Perfect Packet tab. Click the pencil icon to edit a packet.

Step 7: Click Edit

Click Edit to open the packet's details.

Step 8: Select Sales Organizations

Open the Sales Organizations dropdown and select which orgs should see this packet.

If you don't select any → the packet applies to ALL connected sales orgs by default
If you select specific orgs → only those orgs will see the packet

Click Update to save.

Tom runs an EPC company that works with three different sales organizations across the Southeast. His Florida sales team needs a "Wind Mitigation Report" in the Perfect Packet, but his Georgia team doesn't. Tom creates the packet item, sets it as required, then uses the Sales Organizations dropdown to assign it only to his Florida sales org. Now only the Florida team sees that requirement — keeping things simple for everyone.
