Why does this matter?
The Summary Table chart type makes it easier to view key report data in one place. You can add multiple columns to your summary, making it easier to compare important information without creating separate reports.
What will you need?
Access to Reports and Dashboards
Permission to create reports
The data fields you want to include in the summary
A clear idea of which rows and columns you want to compare
Step by Step Instructions
Step 1: Click “Reports and Dashboards” and select “Reports” from the dropdown.
Step 2: Click “New Report”.
Step 3: Provide a name for the report and select your preferred report type. Click “Done”.
Step 4: Add group rows and columns.
Step 5: Turn the “Add Chart” toggle on.
Step 6: Select “Summary Table” from the chart type dropdown.
Step 7: Click “Save and Run”.
Real-World Example
A sales manager wants to review sales performance by rep. They can create a report grouped by sales rep and add multiple summary columns, such as total projects, total sales, and average project value. The Summary Table puts these figures together for an easier side-by-side view.
Pro Tip
Plan the group rows and columns before adding the Summary Table. This helps you build a cleaner report and makes the most important information easier to compare.
