How to Enable the Battery New Proposal Flow?

Why is it important?

The Enable Battery New Proposal Flow setting turns on the new customer creation and proposal wizard for the Battery job type. Once it is on, your sales team can create battery proposals through the same guided, step-by-step flow available for Solar, Roof, HVAC and other job types, making proposals faster to build and more consistent across your team.

What will you need?

  • Admin access to your organization.

  • Access to Settings and Proposal Settings.

Step by Step Instructions

Step 1: Click your profile and select “Settings” from the dropdown.

Step 2: Under Sales & Proposals, click “Proposal Settings”.

Real Life Scenario

A contractor that sells standalone battery backup systems wants every sales rep to follow the same guided process when quoting batteries. The admin turns on Enable Battery New Proposal Flow in Proposal Settings and clicks Update. From then on, when a rep creates a new customer and selects the Battery job type, they go through the new proposal wizard.

Pro Tip

Let your sales team know before you turn the setting on, so they are ready for the new flow. Review the other new proposal flow toggles at the same time to decide which job types should move to the new wizard.

Troubleshooting

The toggle cannot be changed: Click the Edit icon on the Proposal Settings card first, and make sure you are logged in with an admin account.

The setting turned off again after I left the page: Turn the toggle on again and click Update. Changes are saved only after you click Update.

Sales reps still see the old battery proposal flow: Confirm the setting shows On in Proposal Settings, then ask the rep to refresh the page and start a new proposal.
