Warnings and considerations about the theme integration

Things you should be aware of regarding theme integration

Updated over 2 weeks ago

During the them integration, the modifications primarily focus on the product page, the account page, and the cart page.Themes developed individually or themes created by third party apps may not be compatible with our theme integration.

Please refer to the following for detailed information.

Integration is per theme

Integration are done per theme.

  • Switching themes

  • Updating theme versions

will result in loosing the integration data.

Also, please make sure to test your theme throughly after integration is complete, and do not forget to switch the integrated theme to the main theme.

"Shipping free" applications

Once the integration is implemented, the cart page will have a "Point form" for redeeming points above the subtotal. The total points gained from the purchase will display beneath the subtotal. Upon points redemption, the subtotal will change to the price with the points subtracted, which may be less than the "shipping free" requirements. In such cases, free shipping will not be available at checkout.

Point activation

Please make sure to activate the point system and display to display the integrated components. Activation is required when applying the theme integration.

Shopify's account system and it's restrictions

If you use the legacy account in Shopify, we can directly integrate the account page with easyPoints' assets as a part of the theme integration. On the other hand, the new account system does not support code modification for the account page, which makes it impossible to integrate directly. It is recommended to combined the integration with the easyPoints my account page feature to provide a clear and easy loyalty experience to your customers. Please refer to the following demo stores for examples.
