Connection guide: DBT

On this page you find the connection guide to connect a DBT charging station with your EEVEE account.

Configuration requirements

  • Configuration package for EEVEE, containing:

    • SIM card (optional)

    • EVSE-ID

    • Configuration guide for the installer

    • Registration guide for the owner of the charging station

  • Wired connection: a computer with its network card set to 192.168.2.10, and an RJ45 cable

  • Remote connection: a computer that can reach the IP address of the terminal (requires terminal software version 1.3.3.0 or later)

  • DBT installation manual

Two connection methods are possible on DBT charging stations: a wired connection to the local network switch, or a remote connection via the network used for OCPP communication. Remote access requires that the SIM routing allows access to the terminal IP from the computer.

Follow the steps

Step 1: Set up the connection

  • Local wired connection: connect one end of the RJ45 cable to a free port on the switch at the front of the charging station, and the other end to the computer.

  • Remote connection: insert a SIM card in the modem of the charging station that allows routing to the terminal IP from the computer.

Step 2: Access the web pages

Open a browser and go to:

  • Wired: 192.168.2.127:2500

  • Remote: <@IPchargeur>:2500/index.html

A login page should appear.

Connection troubleshooting:

Wired: check the cable and the network card configuration, then log in again. You can ping 192.168.2.127 (PLC) or 192.168.2.150 (OCPP modem).

Remote: check that the terminal IP is reachable from the computer.

Step 3: Log in to the web pages of the charging station

  • Role: user

  • Password: qcng_dbt

After logging in, the main page appears.

Step 4: Open the Param Cust User menu

In this menu you can change the charging station name shown on the home screen, the identification type for starting a session, the maximum DC output current, the OCPP server version and address, the charge box ID, how the modem connects to the internet, and the SIM settings. Enter the following values:

  • STATION_NAME: the unique serial number of the charging station

  • IDENTIFICATION_TYPE: badge

  • DC1_OUTCURRMAX: defined by DBT during production (standard: 125)

  • DC2_OUTCURRMAX: defined by DBT during production (standard: 125)

  • OCPP_VERSION: 1.6J

  • OCPP_URL: wss://eevee-hvpq.powerfill.app/ws/

  • CHARGEBOXID_CUST: the unique serial number of the charging station

  • INTERFACE: CELLULAR or WAN

  • CELLULAR_APN (if the charging station uses a SIM card): (TBD)

Step 5: Restart the charging station

Click Save and then Reboot to apply the changes. The charging station restarts.

Fill in the remaining parameters in the TPE param User and DynX param User menus according to the installation manual, or keep the DBT default values.

Are you the installer? Continue with Step 6. Are you the owner of the charging station? Continue with Step 7.

Step 6 (installers): Activate the charging station on the EEVEE platform: (TBD)

Step 7 (owners): Register the charging station in your EEVEE account: (TBD)

The charging station is now linked to your EEVEE account!
