Opting to "Pause" a Trigger means that it will not appear in the normal prioritised list of active Triggers until such time as you manually choose to resume it. Trev will continue to calculate the Trigger score in the background but this Trigger will not appear on the Trev Main Dashboard and will remain in a greyed-out state on the "All Triggers" page.

In contrast, opting to "Snooze" a Trigger means that the Trigger will not appear in the normal prioritised list of active Triggers until a report has been submitted (or an existing report has been resubmitted) that includes data that meets the thresholds included in your Trigger. When a report is submitted that meets your Trigger thresholds, the Trigger will automatically re-activate. Note that editing a component of a report without using the Submit button will not re-activate the trigger. You can also choose to "Unsnooze" a Trigger manually.
