Tax Zone
To create a tax zone, start by going to Settings (⚙️ icon upper right corner).
Select Zones on the left hand side
Select Tax Zones
Select the + Add button
After typing the Tax Zone name hit enter to save
Create Taxes
Go to Pricing > Taxes
Select the + to create a new tax
Select the Business Line (and continue)
Enter a name for the tax, select the tax zone it will be associated with, enter the percentage value. The additional fields are optional, not required.
Select Create Tax to save
Link tax to a service
When creating your new tax, you can select to Auto Link the tax
Or you can link the tax to general fees or services once the tax is saved.
In the pop out select General Fees or Services
Toggle on which to link to
Select Apply Changes
Setting up the tax zone / rate for your customer
When adding a service for your customer, after selecting the schedule, before saving the service select the Tax option
Tax Exempt
If your customer is tax exempt, you can use an existing service (that has a linked tax rate) or create a separate service with no linked taxes for that customer.
If using an existing service with a linked tax, make sure to toggle off the tax option when saving the service to the customer's profile.
