You can already do this from within Master Sequence (Master Sequence — How to Unassign stops in bulk from a Route), but now, you can do it right from the Route manager page, too!
You can choose whether you want this bulk unassign change to be temporary (one-time adjustment) or permanent (affecting the master sequence).
You can follow the bulk unassign process from Route manager in two ways: from the Route card itself, or by using the Bulk button. Both are broken down step-by-step below.
How to Bulk Unassign Stops via the Bulk Button
From the Routes tab, click the Bulk button located in the top-right corner.
Select Unassign stops from the dropdown menu.
In the Bulk unassign window, click the Select a route dropdown menu and choose the route and date you wish to modify.
Click the Next button.
Select the stops you want to remove. You can either check the boxes next to individual stops in the list on the left or click and drag a selection box over a group of stops on the map.
Click the Unassign button. The selected stops will be moved to the Unassigned column.
To finalize the change for the selected date, you need to decide if you want this to be a one-time adjustment (temporary) or ongoing permanent change for this day of the week.
Click Save current day to only affect the schedule for the date you selected.
If you need to permanently remove these stops from all future occurrences of this route, you can use the Publish master sequence option instead.
Clicking Edit master sequence takes you to a draft page where you can further adjust the Master sequence before finalizing!
How to Bulk Unassign Stops via the Route Manager Board view:
Note: This process is a permanent change to the stops and route (so it will persist beyond the schedule for this specific route date you selected). If you do not want it to persist, you’ll want to utilize Temporary mode (or use the Bulk button flow above).
From the Routes tab, ensure you’re on the Board view.
Find the route that you’re wanting to bulk unassign from. Click the horizontal three dots icon on the route card.
Select Bulk unassign.
Use the checkboxes to select the chosen stops to unassign, or use the top bulk select checkboxes to select them all.
Click Unassign.
Temporary Mode:
From the Board view of Route Manager, click the horizontal three dots menu at the top right.
Toggle on Temporary mode.
Now, when you follow these steps, it won’t persist beyond this dated instance.
