Set the standard boilerplate that appears on every termite inspection report

Written by Rosie O'hara

Summary

Default Text is the standing boilerplate that prints on your termite inspection reports — the company explanations, disclaimers, and legal language that should appear the same way on every report. You set this once here, and it automatically populates each report so techs never have to retype it. This keeps your reports consistent, professional, and compliant, since the legal and safety wording remains uniform across all inspections.

Key Points

  • Default Text fills in automatically on every termite inspection report

  • You edit it once in Settings rather than per report

  • Consistent boilerplate keeps reports professional and legally compliant

How to Get to Default Text

  1. From the top of the Navigation menu, click on Settings (gear icon)

  2. Under the Termite section, click on Default Text

The Default Text Sections

This page is organized into separate sections, each controlling a different part of the report:

  • Logo Explanation — text shown alongside your company logo or branding area at the top of the report.

  • Report Explanation — an overview that explains what the inspection covered and how to read the report.

  • Explanation of Findings and Recommendations — standard language that frames how findings and recommendations should be interpreted.

  • Legal and Safety Information — your disclaimers, liability language, warranty terms, and any state-required notices.

To save your template, click the green Save Default Texts button at the bottom of your screen

Tips for Setting Up Default Text

  • Get the legal and safety wording reviewed. Termite/WDO reports are often part of real estate transactions, so this language should align with your state's requirements and warranty terms.

  • Write for the client. The report and findings explanations are read by homeowners and agents, so keep them clear and plain.

  • Review periodically. Update this text whenever your warranty terms, licensing, or state regulations change.

Important Note: Anytime you change something in Settings, your techs must Reload Data in the mobile app to see the change.
